Social Content & Engagement Specialist

The impact you'll make:

Reporting to the Director of PR & Brand Engagement, the objective of this role is to achieve exceptional customer engagement, educate our audience in an entertaining way, position ourselves as the leader in the natural wellness space, foster intimacy, drive website traffic, and increase revenue through the strategic utilization of the social media marketing roadmap.


The Social Content & Engagement Specialist will possess a comprehensive understanding of various social media platforms and how to optimize content for maximum engagement. As a representative of our brand, you will liaise with all business partners cross-functionally to create thumb-stopping content and actively participate in relevant conversations, gently promoting Saje Natural Wellness products while providing support to existing and potential community members. Your expertise in social media marketing will be essential in achieving our goals and establishing strong brand connections.


All Saje Team Members are responsible for contributing to Saje’s culture and maintaining a positive environment for themselves and their peers.


What you'll do:

CHANNEL OVERSIGHT, CONTENT CREATION & CALENDAR PLANNING (40% of role)

  • Overseeing the Saje Wellness presence in partnership with the Social Media & Community Engagement Manager, on various social networks, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, Threads, and LinkedIn.
  • Utilizing social media channels to enhance sales and generate leads, demonstrating proficiency in applying straightforward sales techniques.
  • Working alongside the Saje creative team and the Social Media & Community Engagement Manager to source or create content that is engaging, relevant, and in line with the brand image.
  • Developing creative ideas which engage followers across all active social media channels and working with them to create original content (e.g., graphics, videos) for each platform.
  • Working cross functionally to align all content calendars with campaigns to promote product launches or seasonal events on social platforms, and playing a pivotal role in developing social media strategies for growth. 
  • Plan, brief in & review content in partnership with our Saje Circle Brand Ambassadors and third party UGC partners.
  • Research hashtag performance to align with overarching campaigns and utilize these insights to support calendar planning.
  • Content calendar planning, building & execution for the following platforms: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest
  • Working alongside cross-functional partners to facilitate the product requisitions from external partners.


SOCIAL LISTENING & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT (40% of role):

  • The Social Content & Engagement Specialist will be responsible for responding to comments from followers or customers on all owned channels to build relationships and foster engagement.
  • Responsible for conducting outbound community management. Including but not limited to engaging with notable creators on all platforms, engaging with relevant partners on all platforms, engaging with community members on their own pages, engaging in tagged content, re-sharing story content, etc.
  • Engage in active social listening across all platforms, informing on trends, noteworthy cultural moments, and all relevant industry related news.
  • Social listening and tracking conversations related to the brand on social media sites to gain insights into customer attitudes and preferences.


ANALYTICS & REPORTING (10% of role):

  • Working closely with the Social Media & Community Engagement Manager to create and maintain a clear social strategy based on brand metrics and KPIs.
  • Interpret data correctly to inform campaigns and measure results. Responsible for working closely with the Social Media & Community Engagement Manager to collate data points from all sources, including web traffic referred from social sites, and produce regular reports detailing successes and areas for improvement.
  • Working alongside our Social Media & Community Engagement Manager to develop & share a monthly social media report highlighting successes & opportunities, key top-performing content, and relevant information.
  • Channel Optimization: Work alongside our Social Media & Community Engagement Manager to ensure posts are optimized for maximum reach; regularly testing new strategies for community engagement.


RETAIL & EVENT SUPPORT (10% of role):

  • Support the retail community events team with the development of event pages, custom assets, and toolkits required for successful local event promotion.
  • Sharing & including social media calendar plans, social media recaps, and evergreen social media content (for team member use) in our internal communication platforms: The Drop, The Essential, Saje Page.
  • Attend Saje Wellness community events, national events, and campaign photoshoots to support with sharing live content of community engagements.


Your Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in Marketing, Social Media, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience working in social media, digital marketing, and communications – either in a corporate or agency environment.
  • Having prior experience handling customer inquiries and complaints on social media is a must.
  • Proficient in content creation - you'll have the skill and comfort to be able to capture, create, edit, and share content across all channels.
  • You have an eye for what works creatively and the innovation to create content and campaigns. You'll be someone who can create content that represents the Saje brand. 
  • Previous knowledge of frequently used analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) and how to analyze data from those sources. This will include the creation, monitoring & performance reporting of UTM links via GA4.
  • Knowledge of the most popular social media management tools i.e., Dash Hudson and how to use them to optimize posts.
  • Proven knowledge of marketing principals, social media, digital marketing, tracking, reporting and social media strategizing on increasing brand awareness.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing trends. Familiarity with the latest social media trends and knowing how to use them for business growth.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with followers and customers to build relationships and increase engagement.
  • Knowing how to plan and implement successful campaigns across multiple channels.
  • The ability to stay organized and manage time effectively to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Works with a sense of urgency and an ability to be flexible and agile to meet deadlines.
  • The capacity to write effective copy and create compelling content that informs and entertains audiences.

The compensation range for this position is from $65,000 - 75,000 annually. Base pay is dependent on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
