Social and Content Specialist

Remote Vancouver, BC

Salary: CA$55,000/yr - CA$60,000/yr

We have an opportunity for a passionate storyteller with a strategic edge to execute and manage BBTV's social channels. This role is vital in shaping BBTV’s voice across social media and driving engagement that leads to real business results. This role reports directly to the VP Growth.

Our ideal candidate is someone who has operated social media accounts with significant scope (100k to 1M+ followers across 4+ accounts), and can work effectively cross-functionally to understand and deliver on multiple objectives. You are a great communicator, connector and executor, with a mindset for continuous self-improvement. Organized, analytical and strategic, you understand the impact various marketing channels, especially social, has on a business.

In this role, you will partner with BBTV’s existing content strategy team to execute on and contribute to its vision.


  • In collaboration with the wider Marketing team, develop, manage and execute the overall social media content strategy
  • Own the tactical execution for various BBTV brands and associated accounts across social media platforms
  • Maintain brand messaging and identity across social touchpoints
  • Develop and communicate standards and procedures for socials to ensure consistency across the business
  • Support key stakeholders from a social media standpoint, including Creator Growth, Talent Management, PR, HR, and other teams
  • Responsible for social post creation, social video editing, and social advertising management for domestic BBTV socials
  • Measure the effectiveness of social campaigns and take action to improve them
  • Execute new social account creation and management for the company
  • Ensure social media accounts comply with company and legal social media policies
  • Manage and report on a social budget (as determined by the company)
  • Collaborate with team members to bring Content Marketing campaigns to life on social media
  • Communicates with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network.
  • Other social media and content activities as assigned.

  • Minimum 3 years related work experience with at least 2 years of experience managing social media accounts across all major platforms (X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Discord, Reddit)
  • Demonstrated ability to grow an engaged audience on social media
  • Deep understanding of social media trends and how social platforms operate
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills and grammar.
  • Familiarity utilizing social to drive both B2B and B2C marketing strategies
