The Senior Manager / Director, Business Strategy plays a critical role as part of a a passionate, high performing, and collaborative team focused on identifying and delivering complex, transformative strategies to clients in the technology sector (software, hardware, gaming, technology consumer products, etc.). We are looking for an individual who will be crafting innovative, industry-specific, and experience-led deliverables - north-star visions, executable roadmaps aligned to business outcomes, and success metrics aligned to both. You will work with our high tech industry’s key customers, partners, and technical delivery leaders to drive scale, speed to value, and a sustained landscape for future success of our customers.


The ideal candidate will bring deep experience with large-scale technology transformation programs at the Enterprise level and will have knowledge of the latest industry trends. Bringing these credentials, this person will be a strategic advisor to our customers, partners, and internal Salesforce teams. It is critical that this person think strategically about industry, business, product, and technical challenges to help our clients drive: customer growth, operational efficiencies, cost savings, and rapid innovation on the Salesforce platform. They will need strong facilitation and synthesis skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders across Business and IT and transcending levels from Individual Contributors to CxO.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and distill customer, industry, and end-user research to identify key stakeholder needs, customer expectations, and experience-led business opportunities
  • Conduct assessments and facilitate workshops to gain alignment with leaders on a future-state vision: business objectives, capabilities, value drivers, success metrics, and technology priorities
  • Identify enterprise business process/operations improvements to realize efficiencies and increase market impact 
  • Craft innovative and forward-looking industry strategies that leverage the Salesforce platform; help complex, global companies transform to gain competitive advantage and growth in their markets
  • Develop multi-year, strategic roadmaps for immediate delivery that prioritize investments and support business objectives
  • Develop business cases that articulate the value of change for the organization
  • Analyze opportunities and improvement data to articulate the strategic, operational, and financial impact our platform and professional services can deliver to the customer
  • Help business and IT leaders embrace new digital operating models, governance strategies, and a customer- and user-centric mindset and approach to decision-making
  • Provide High-Tech industry subject matter expertise as it relates to Salesforce products and services in order to facilitate credibility with the industry customers during the sales and delivery cycles
  • Uncover future sales opportunities to drive incremental customer value
  • Develop Industry Outlooks and POVs that address market trends with a potential solution offering
  • Contribute to the development of an Industry Strategy competency within Salesforce Professional Services, share best practices, advise and collaborate with peers


Requirements

  • 5-7+ years consulting in enterprise-level technology transformation programs with management consulting, digital agency firms and/or at Fortune 500 companies
  • 5-7+ years client facing engagements leading the delivery of software and digital implementations
  • Knowledge of the concepts, practices, procedures, and deliverables associated with solution development, implementation and operational readiness
  • Ability to develop a point of view by synthesizing complex datasets or by assessing vague requirements and ambiguous situations where clear data may not be readily available.
  • Knowledge of the key business value drivers and success metrics typical of large-enterprise Communications, Media & Technology companies
  • Executive presence and public speaking skills
  • Results-oriented, entrepreneurial, self-starter who is able to operate independently and create their own structure in a fast-paced and at times ambiguous environment
  • Thrive working collaboratively and cross-functionally, particularly with Sales, Engagement Delivery Leaders, Solution and Technical Architects, Designers and External Partners
  • Salesforce product knowledge and solution design are preferred
  • Occasional travel expected (~30%)
  • Bachelor's degree
