The Position
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Sales Development Rep (SDR) to join our Sales team at Cognitive3D as we explore spatial analytics from immersive experiences (VR/AR/MR). The successful SDR is proactive, highly energetic, and goal-oriented. The SDR will help generate qualified sales leads and facilitate the growth of the sales pipeline through outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up. SDR will communicate with potential customers by email, social media, video conferencing and occasionally in person to identify the needs of prospective customers, qualify their interest and viability, and create a trusted relationship that will help drive the sale. SDRs will research potential customers, connect with and educate prospects, and qualify leads before handing them to an Account Executive.
Cognitive3D is a remote first organization. We are welcoming applicants from the Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON metro areas.
The position will have the following responsibilities:
- Research and pre-qualify prospective organisations to build a pipeline
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop account intelligence, relationship maps, and use case opportunities through direct account engagement and insight tools
- Identify and engage with decision-makers and key influencers
- Contact (email & social media) prospects to engage in conversations designed to create awareness of Cognitive3D, educate prospects, and uncover sales opportunities
- Gain commitment from prospects to attend a brief web-based introductory meeting, meet with an Account Executive or other call to action
- Collaborate with other sales team members to share best practices, improve individual and group performance, and meet/exceed goals
- Consistently meet and exceed individual qualified sales lead goals
- Ensure completeness by tracking the follow-through of sales leads by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information within the CRM system
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of B2B SDR experience, or formal SDR training from a reputable source.
- A strong desire to be in a highly dynamic, energetic, and results-oriented sales environment with an early-stage start-up company
- An entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiastic, competitive, disciplined, self-motivated, hands-on, with a strong work ethic
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills especially the ability to speak clearly and concisely - in person and on video conferencing - with a professional and engaging demeanour
- Exhibit empathy, a knack for conflict resolution, persuasion, and negotiating skills
- A disciplined, meticulous approach to daily activity planning, goal setting, and achieving results
- Excellent listener, ability to learn and adapt to new concepts and technologies
- Willingness to take direction, be coached and mentored
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent; Communications, Business, Computer Science preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle
- Strong web and computer skills: Google Suite, MS Office, Slack, Zoom, Teams, HubSpot, LinkedIn experience desirable
- Occasional business travel will be required, primarily to the United States.
- Basic understanding of XR and game engines (Unity, Unreal) is a plus as is experience with value-based selling
