Interns will be required to be onsite at the Demonware Vancouver office following the team's work schedule (hybrid, 3 days a week), a relocation package may be offered depending on eligibility.


The Company


Demonware is a member of the Activision family of studios. We work alongside engineers and creatives at our AAA partner studios and deliver the online and data services required by our franchises. We craft, develop, and host services for some of the worlds biggest video game franchises, including Call of Duty and Crash Bandicoot.

The Role


  • Handle project management duties for smaller scale projects
  • Provide up-to-date information on projects in our project management tools
  • Monitor customer requests and route appropriately
  • Support escalation from stakeholders when required
  • Hands on assistance with resolving support requests when possible
  • Assist with weekly agile rituals for engineering teams


Requirements


  • Highly organized, motivated, flexible and strong level of ownership
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly personable with an ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams across Demonware
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Passionate about organizing people, improving processes and applying an analytical mindset
  • A proactive attitude, an eagerness to learn
  • The ability to work well, both autonomously, and as part of a larger team
  • Knowledge of agile and traditional software development methodologies


Nice-to-haves


  • Industry recognised Project Management certification i.e. Prince2, PMP, Agile Scrum Master training or similar.
  • Prior experience with project management tools such as Jira, Monday.com or similar.
  • Knowledge of the high level fundamentals of backend services and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of relational databases
  • Knowledge of running containerized software
  • Knowledge of networking technologies

The standard base pay range for this role is $49,507.50 - $104,765.00 CAD. These values reflect the expected annualized base pay range of new hires in British Columbia, Canada. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
