Microsoft Productivity & AI Technology Specialist

As a Microsoft Productivity & AI Technology Specialist’s (Productivity & AI TS) your main goal is to win the technical decision of customers to purchase and use our technology through understanding their business challenges. You will work in a team, enabling the customers through digital transformation. Productivity & AI TSs are expected to be able to both own and win the customers’ technical decisions, as well as find new opportunities through their contacts and work they are on for salespeople to further pursue. As a TS, you work within a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to help educate your customers at a technical level, demonstrate, and prove our solutions, and win the technical decision allowing the team to achieve/exceed quarterly Copilot for M365, Viva and Teams sales/usage targets in your accounts. Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based infrastructure technologies. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Responsibilities


  • Solution Design & Proof: You will demonstrate business and technical skills (e.g., Architectural Design Sessions, and Proof of Concept sessions) in Copilot for M365, Viva and Teams Premium; adapting and extending architecture patterns accommodating customer requirements for design, development, configuration, and deployment/adoption/governance planning based on their business needs and challenged; applying advanced sales methodologies (e.g., MCEM); leveraging partner/customer teams as needed.
  • Build Strategy: You will provide strategic, technical, and partner input based on Microsoft capability at the account level, leveraging knowledge of partners, and competitors in the Copilot for M365, Viva and Teams Premium solutions space. You will take knowledge of customer feedback, and their context in a competitive landscape and deliver core competitive knowledge back to engineering teams to enhance our tools capabilities and to develop compete strategies.
  • Scale Teams Customer Engagements: You will reach out to customers proactively and independently using knowledge of customer context; expertise in Copilot for M365, Viva and Teams Premium; along with other technical and industry knowledge. Leading business and technical discussions with customers and establishing rules of engagement (e.g., role boundaries, handoff strategies) for extended teams including partners and CSU, leveraging knowledge of processes (e.g., Managed Service Provider [MSP], Managed Certified Professional [MCP]), tools, and programs (e.g., FastTrack, customer investment funding [ECIFs]) and leveraging foundational knowledge of resources (e.g., roles, Microsoft Technology Center, demo sites, virtual sites).
  • Education: You will proactively identify learning gaps; monitoring & responding to internal tech community posts, attending community calls, sessions, hackathons, etc. Practicing expertise by communicating with customers, partners, and colleagues to expand knowledge of architecture and demonstrating new and updated products and services.
  • Scale Through Partners: You will act as the liaison between the partner and team and facilitate partner resources and processes. Identifying Copilot for M365, Viva and Teams Premium skill and resource gaps and providing feedback to internal teams.

Qualifications


Required/Minimum Qualifications


  • 5+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
  • OR equivalent experience.


Additional Or Preferred Qualifications


  • 6+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
  • Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture).


Technology Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $91,000 - CAD $168,400 per year.
