GIS Project Manager

Remote Vancouver, BC

Fujitsu is currently looking for a GIS project manager to join its GIS practice.


The project manager must be based anywhere within Canada.


The work mode will be a hybrid mode depending on the requirements of Fujitsu and the customer.


Responsibilities could include but are not limited to :

  • Defines and documents the objectives for the project; determines budgetary requirements, the composition, roles and responsibilities, and terms of reference for the team project
  • Manages the project during the development, implementation and operations startup by ensuring that resources are made available, and that the project is developed, and made fully operational within agreed time, cost and performance parameters.
  • Formulates statements of problems; establishes procedures for the development and implementation of significant, new or modified project elements to solve these problems, and obtains approval thereof.
  • Reports progress of the project on an ongoing basis and at scheduled points in the life cycle
  • Meets in conference with stakeholders and states problems in a form capable of being solved
  • Prepares plans, charts, tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing or displaying problems; works with a variety of project management tools
  • Project sign-off


The expected requirements for this position are:

  • Bachelor's degree in GIS or Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of working experience as GIS Project Manager.
  • Experience as a GIS Project Manager on large-scale Geomatics project where Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) was utilized or equivalent.
  • Bilingual (French and English) preferred
  • Mandatory English speaking;
