The Director, ITS Solutions will oversee the establishment, delivery, and active management (directly and via Direct Reports) of an Enterprise products and services Roadmap which is integrated and aligned with the (ITS) Technology Roadmap and Organization objectives and strategies.


This competitively rewarded role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. Periodically, in-person events or activities will be required of you.


 A typical day would involve:

  • Create and maintain a prioritized pipeline (roadmap) for the Product team that is built on stakeholder input and that meets member and employee needs. Continuously review and update according to evolving strategies and market evolution.
  • Develop, monitor, and strengthen the Product by identifying the strategies for growth and improvement from the perspective of risk appetite, member/business impact, technology and systems requirements, volumes, revenues, and/or breadth of the portfolio to enhance member or employee well-being and achieve business objectives
  • Oversee the management of solution implementations within to the Product team ensuring they meet the requirements set out. Collaborate with Technology and Operations on continued improvement to the Divisional Operating Model to ensure successful delivery
  • Foster team competencies so that best practices in product management are established and that there are effective communities of practice for core skills within the different portfolios
  • Establish and actively manage a catalog of current and potential partnerships


You are:

  • Strategic – with your planning and coordination skills, you establish functional strategies, tactical plans and initiatives; you also lead development of integrated solutions, services and programs.
  • A Problem Solver & Decision Maker – you lead diagnosis of critical challenges, develop integrated business solutions, while you assess risks and opportunities that may affect the functional area.
  • Member-Focused – Belief in our mission to help our members make better financial decisions every day and full-bodied drive in our execution of it.
  • Strong Relationship Manager – you have demonstrated excellence in strong stakeholder management at all levels with visible and enlightened commercial acumen.
  • Passionate – about being a financial force for change and believe that finance can have a positive impact in the world.


You have:

  • Post Secondary in business, finance, business analysis, project management or related.
  • 5-7 years of experience in increasingly complex leadership roles.
  • Experience in Financial services, channels, digital, user experience and product management 
  • Product management certification.


Bonus points, if you have:

  • Project management certification is an asset
