Data Integration Specialist

Role: Data Integration Specialist


As a Data Integration Specialist (DIS), you will play a crucial role in aggregating mechanical and chemical stability data from multiple platforms into a cohesive dataset, allowing the optimization our core technologies. You will oversee lifetime testing at the demonstration scale, and work closely with the chemical and mechanical failure mode analysis teams to correlate results at both demonstration and laboratory scales. Your multidisciplinary expertise, combined with your ability to effectively manage complex programs, will be critical to the success of this role.


In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources and conduct analyses to identify trends in product failures. Using your knowledge of statistical analysis tools, you will help to identify patterns and correlations that will inform our product optimization strategies.


The successful candidate will be an expert in data integration and analysis. You will have experience working with large datasets and be comfortable using data visualization tools.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:


  • Integrate chemical and mechanical stability data from different platforms into a cohesive dataset.
  • Manage and analyze data from product autopsies to assess product lifetime and failure modes.
  • Identify trends in product failures and propose solutions to optimize product lifetime and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for design improvements.
  • Develop and maintain data integration and analysis tools.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.


Key Qualifications:


  • BSc. in integrated engineering, materials science, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience with failure analysis techniques, such as root cause analysis or failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), to identify and address failure mechanisms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and identify trends.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI), statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, Python), and machine learning tools (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
  • Knowledge in gas adsorption and separation an asset.
  • Demonstrated expertise in effective program management, with the ability to oversee and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
