Corporate Partnerships Lead

Remote Vancouver, BC

Taking Root is seeking a values-driven Corporate Partnerships Lead who will be responsible for supporting the growth of annual revenue by building and maintaining exceptional relationships with Taking Root’s international partners. Reporting to the Commercial Director, this successful candidate will also support the creation of the organization’s sales strategy, be responsible for managing partner deliverables, and own the creation of sales tracking and reporting for timely decision-making.

 

This is a full-time position, and we are open to full-time remote work within Canada. Our office is in Vancouver, BC, and is available for employees who prefer in-person settings. Taking Root’s purpose is to accelerate the restoration of the world’s forests. We enable smallholder farmers to grow trees and earn money from the carbon they remove from the atmosphere. Our technology and support make it simple for our reforestation partners to create transparent and robust forest carbon removals. From registering farmers and recruiting land, to monitoring trees grown and the carbon stored over time, we provide the tools at every step of the way to help our partners successfully manage and scale their carbon projects. Responsibilities:

  • Leading the day to day account management for all of Taking Root’s Buyer Partners
  • Responsible for ensuring 100% of Buyer Partner deliverables
  • Responsible for managing the organization’s carbon credit inventory
  • Supporting the sale of carbon credits with Buyer Partners
  • Responsible for the effective collection of sales data in Hubspot
  • Responsible for generating ongoing sales/revenue reporting
  • Support the organization’s sales strategy by making recommendations and implementing buyer specific partnership strategies
  • Conducting market analysis to benchmark Taking Root’s carbon prices against the market
  • Creating sales support materials such as client presentations, proposals and project fact sheets
  • Managing and screening inbound inquiries from prospective partners

 

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience required:

  • 3+ years experience in account management and managing commercial partnerships
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field
  • Exceptional relationship building skills
  • Experience working with and managing a sales CRM
  • Strong skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential
  • Experience in conducting market analysis and research
  • Sales experience with carbon credits, nature-based solutions or GHG reporting services is a plus
  • Project Management experience is a plus
  • Must be comfortable working virtually across international settings and timezones (some international travel may be required)
  • Spanish and/or French language skills an asset
