We're looking for a motivated and action-oriented business writer coordinator to join our Prevention Divisional Strategy and Operations department, to lead the development and production of communications, reports and other resources. You'll support Prevention Services by providing expertise to create and produce print and digital materials and communications aimed at coordinating our messaging and approach in improving health and safety in B.C. workplaces.
This is a temporary assignment of approximately 16 months.
How you'll make a difference: You'll help ensure B.C. workers go home safely at the end of their workday.
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you'll work primary from home and occasionally in the Richmond office.
- Coordinate the development and production of divisional reports, resources and communications, working closely with subject matter experts, managers, corporate communications and marketing staff to meet tight timelines
- Communicate frequently and proactively with project group members by phone, email, and in meetings where you'll typically present and provide creative solutions for presenting information
- Offer suggestions and problem solve communication requirements for various issues and initiatives, including coordinating and maintaining the key divisional communication team site
- Create and manage documentation for resource development projects, including statements of work, project briefs, schedules, promotion, and status updates
- Collaborate with team members through online tools such as MS Teams and SharePoint
We're Looking For People Who Can
- Independently coordinate, prioritize, and monitor multiple projects in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines and sometimes shifting priorities
- Organize and schedule people and resources to develop realistic action plans to meet project targets, while considering time constraints and resource availability
- Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, using plain language and standard spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Ensure required documentation is completed thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely fashion
- Maintain consistency with established workflow processes and editorial and brand standards
- Develop and maintain effective and respectful working relationships
Your background and experience
- A diploma or degree in business or a related field such as communications, journalism, or English
- A minimum of two years' recent related experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 product family.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Salary: $38.49 - $48.47/hourly
